Miss Madeleine is such a superstar- she's already learned how to read! Sure, "Goodnight Moon" has more pictures than words, but not bad for a 1 month old, right?

Now if she could only get together enough hand-eye coordination to turn the pages.....

Crystal Springs Rhododendron Garden

We tried to take Madeleine to the Portland Rhododendron Gardens, and of course she fell asleep! As you can see, we stashed her in a cozy bush while we explored for a while.

She's such a fashionable girl, even matching her outfits to the local flora!

It's been a little bit since the blog was updated, but here is Miss M, hanging out and looking cute as usual. And now she's more awake than she's been, which hopefully makes her a bit more photogenic.

Homegrown

Venison burgers made their debut the other night for the 09 grilling season. And on top were these homegrown portobellos. Madeleine tells me that breast milk never tasted so good!
